Clinica Ars Medica is expanding with the creation of new operating theatres and the renovation and extension of a new building in Bellinzona. Significant energy improvements are planned at both sites.
Clinica Ars Medica
The Clinica Ars Medica’s major project, which includes a new extension and complete renovation, aims to take the facility to new heights in terms of quality and efficiency.
The 1’203 sqm extension to the existing building will be accompanied by a 791 sqm interior renovation. This will include the creation of six new operating theatres, modification of the main entrance and redefinition of the ambulatory area. The aim is to improve interior pathways for patients, staff and products, while creating outdoor spaces to create a welcoming environment.
Start is scheduled for July 2025.
To enhance the sustainability of Clinica Ars Medica, a significant energy upgrade is planned for the site.
The main actions involve the installation of a heat pump (PAC) for heat production, heating and domestic hot water. The installation of solar and photovoltaic panels is also planned. To optimize energy efficiency, the two existing chillers will be replaced by a new unit. At the same time, an energy monitoring system, incorporating new thermal and electrical meters, will be installed.
Completion is scheduled for March 2025.
This energy upgrade marks Infracore’s commitment to sustainability, carbon footprint reduction, and infrastructure modernization, in order to offer a quality care environment while respecting the highest environmental standards.
Our main objective is to renovate and extend the existing building, creating three new outpatient operating theatres, a Swiss Visio center, several doctors’ surgeries and a physiotherapy center, in order to strengthen integrated care in Ticino and particularly in the Sopraceneri.
We are determined to make this project a reality, guaranteeing a modern, comprehensive medical environment tailored to the needs of our community. We look forward to seeing Centro Medico Bellinzona evolve to better serve our patients and contribute to healthcare excellence.
Full completion is scheduled for spring 2025.
This extension is crucial to the future growth of Centro Medico Bellinzona.
Our project is fully committed to sustainable development, integrating energy improvements through the installation of photovoltaic panels and a PAC bivalent heat production system.
