Infracore has completed the construction of a new building of 4’907 sqm on the site of Privatklinik Villa im Park in Rothrist. The building, which was handed over in June 2021, includes three integrated and fully digitalized operating theaters, a certified central sterilization unit, medical practices, a spacious reception area, a restaurant, 28 elegant rooms and an underground parking of 100 spaces. In addition, Infracore steered a major renovation project in the existing clinic building, in order to create a new day clinic with its own laboratory department, doctors’ offices and offices.
The entire construction project was challenging, due to cramped building conditions, loose ground and the special requirements of a care facility, whose operations were at no time interrupted. A new three-story building with its own contemporary architecture was built right next to the existing one. The classic metal construction with large window fronts and balconies with glass railings ensure an elegant design and maximize light penetration. The interior impresses with its sophisticated construction technology and an optimal space planning. The 28 rooms (53 beds), spread over three floors, are deliberately designed to create a pleasant atmosphere in which the patient almost feels as being in a hotel. The private rooms on the attic floor have their own balcony.
Three state-of-the-art operating theatres, which are among the best equipped in their category, and a top-notch central sterilization unit with the latest equipment are available to the surgeons. The 500 sqm technical room, located in the basement, ensures a proper functioning of the operating theaters. A connection was created between the old and the new building for the supply of various medical gases. A powerful emergency power system supplies all areas in the event of a power failure, and three autonomous ventilation systems provide approximately 23’000 cubic meters of conditioned air per hour to the operating theaters, sterilization areas and patient floors.
In the existing building of the clinic, the day clinic has been completely renovated. It now offers ten individual, fully-equipped medical cubicles, which guarantee a high degree of privacy in a warm and cozy atmosphere. The patient reception areas, medical offices and offices have been modernized and updated.
